Peckover House and Gardens
Peckover House is a secret gem, an oasis hidden away in an urban environment. A classic Georgian merchant’s town house, it was lived in by the Peckover family for 150 years.

Wisbech Museum
The collections were initiated by the town’s Literary and Museum Societies which were formed in 1781 and 1835 respectively. Since the Museum opened in 1847, the collections have continued to grow, but the essence of the Museum remains virtually unchanged.
Wisbech Castle
Wisbech grew around the original Norman Castle, constructed by William the Conqueror, at a strategically important location at the head of the estuary created by the waters of the River Ouse (or Wyse) and the River Nene. It provided an ideal location to subdue the Fenmen and impose Norman rule, with good river communications inland to Peterborough, Cambridge and beyond.
Wisbech Yacht Harbour
Although still busy with commercial shipping, the development of Wisbech as a harbour for small craft has already generated much interest and from May 2000, Wisbech Yacht Harbour really came into its own with the major extension of the pontoon mooring facilities. Regarded as the capital of the Fens, Wisbech is situated about 25 miles north east of Peterborough and is a market town of significant character and historical importance. Rows of elegant houses line the banks of the River Nene, with North and South Brink still deemed two of the finest Georgian Streets in England
